Hard physical work, little food, lots of sleep: Here’s how these people are resisting time
“Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
Do you know that a cancer cure exists?
Yes, it does and the primary cause of cancer was officially discovered in 1923. The inventor has received the Nobel Prize in medicine, in 1931. Unfortunately, a small number of people know about this because the fact is hidden from the public. The reasons are numerous, but the main is money.
There is no profit from healthy people.
The scientist who discovered the underlying cause of the formation of cancer cells was Otto Heinrich Warburg. It was a discovery based on research that disease results from the anti physiological way of life.
And what is the anti physiological way of life? Well, you can conclude it yourself. It’s a lifestyle where TV, PC, and microwave are your best friends, and you’ve been “hanging” with them for years. The way of living where you eat everything you see in commercials and never move your lazy ass to prepare a meal from scratch. Sounds familiar? No? Better for you if not, but keep reading…
Now I sound like your mother, don’t I? 🙂
When you lack physical activity, the body creates an acidic environment that is poor with oxygen. As I wrote earlier; in such state, the body is an excellent environment for various cysts, diseases, and cancer.
Dr. Warburg said: If you take from a healthy cell 35% of oxygen, you can turn it into a carcinogen cell in just two days.
Reread it. TWO DAYS! It makes you think how our body is functioning.
PH is a scale that measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is. The scale ranges from 1 to 14 with 1 being very acid, 7 neutral and 14 very alkaline.
So what does pH have to do with you and your blood? Well, the pH of your blood is extremely important. With it, it’s like a well-oiled machine. Without it, it won’t even start.
The ideal pH level for your blood is right around 7.35 and your body goes to enormous lengths to maintain this level.
The blood is continually regulating itself. It has a task not to get into the metabolic acidity. However, some foods acidify blood and pollute the body.
This info is something that you should always keep in mind. When the body is too acidic, it takes minerals from the vital organs and bones to neutralize the acid. As a result, the level of mineral reserves of calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium can reach a critically low level, causing damage that can pass unnoticed for years, making the state known as acidosis.
What many people do not know is that the taste of some food does not determine its acidity.
For example, we all know that lemon has a sour taste, so we consider it to be acidic food, but it is a food that increases alkalinity. During the digestion process, its acid turns to carbon dioxide and water, which means they do not create an acidic condition in the body.
Calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, and sodium are the main alkalizing minerals. Food rich in these minerals is considered an alkaline food. Many foods have acidic and alkaline minerals in themselves.
If food has more acidic minerals than alkaline, it is considered to be acidic food and vice versa. The organism has limits to which it can regulate acidity and alkalinity. Therefore, the intake of food is crucial for maintaining acid-base balance. These will define how you feel and are you in disease-free part of your life.
Many diseases are the result of the organism’s ineffectual attempt to balance pH.
Generally speaking, if your diet includes many acidic foods such as meat, cereals, and sugar, your body can become acidic. If you consume too many fruits and vegetables, your body can become too alkaline.
It is important to understand how your organism reacts to a particular food.
Is this all black/white?
I have to say no!
Organism starts its journey towards “acid town” when several elements aren’t in order. To name a few…no physical activity, long-term medication treatments, eating junk food… etc.
Remember. . . It’s all in the balance.
Fortunately, it is pretty easy to immediately change your pH for the better and make it more alkaline. The first step is to understand which diet is pH high. But before you begin to change the intake of foods you have enjoyed so far, a smart step would be to go to a nearby lab and find out the pH value of your organism.
Many doctors think that our body can fight alone with high acidity. That would be logical to conclude if you turn your menu to what our ancestors ate. Age without preservatives, additives and plenty of wealth from vegetables and fruits.
Unfortunately, the truth is that we turned behind the evolutionary angle and we do not deal with health problems as we used to.
Research has shown that increased acidity requires from our organism to take drastic measures to protect strategic cleansing agents: kidneys and liver.
In a survey of nearly 1,000 elderly people, it has been found that acidic ‘accumulations’ are now accumulated in fat deposits rather than eliminating them via kidney and liver. In its ‘wisdom’, a body decided to save the kidneys and liver from damage. So you see, my dear friend, big tummy doesn’t always mean just a fat. It’s a combination of some other bad stuff too.
Of course, everything has a price. It is obesity, reduced immunity, lack of energy and a whole range of diseases associated with acidity, including cancer, diabetes, osteoarthritis, and many, many others.
We can’t relieve the body of all the acids arising from food, stress, and our metabolism. These substances move through the body in the blood and the lymphatic system, as long as the overcharged kidneys do not decide to put them somewhere else.
In fact, of all factors contributing to acidity, stress is the most important. It can neutralize and even affects alkaline nutrition with a single rush of adrenaline.
In his work “Tumour metabolism”, Dr. Warburg has shown that all carcinogenic forms fulfill two necessary conditions: blood acidity and hypoxia (lack of oxygen).
He discovered that tumor cells are anaerobic (do not breathe oxygen) and can not survive in the presence of high concentrations of oxygen. Tumor cells can survive only with the help of glucose and in the environment without oxygen.
Therefore, cancer is a defense mechanism that our cells use to survive in an acidic environment with a low level of oxygen.
Healthy cells live in an alkaline environment full of oxygen, which allows them to have normal functioning. Tumor cells live in an acidic environment with low oxygen.
These are the cancer cells.
Looks so peaceful, non-harmful, almost like an art. It is, but a bad one!
What about medical treatments such as Chemotherapy?
Chemotherapy is acidifying the body to the extent that it must reach for alkaline reserves in the organism. It sacrificing minerals (calcium, magnesium, potassium) embedded in bones, teeth, limbs, nails, and hair.
For this reason, we notice changes in people receiving chemotherapy, among others hair loss.
Your body is even more sensitive to acidic conditions than it is to temperature. Our blood plays a significant role, and the quality of our health depends on its quality. Even if we are not ill, the disbalance of the acidity of the blood makes us feel bad.
Mild acidity of the organism for a short period will not harm us, but the way of life filled with stress for an extended period will maintain this state by giving it energy, at the same time extracting ours.
The acidity or alkalinity of the internal liquids has a profound effect even at the individual cellular level. The whole metabolic process depends on the balance, up to the cellular level.
Without this relationship, no useful chemical or energy exchange will occur because there is no pH balance. The pH of the body’s opposites – acidity and alkalinity – chemically provides electrical flow.
Without enough ‘polarity’ between the innate cells and the fluid surrounding it, the cell energy is difficult to flow into the surrounding tissues.
Weight loss and energy recovery are more natural when you take the first step towards alkaline balance.
“All so-called natural deaths are nothing but a terminal point of body saturation with acidity “, said George W. Crile of Cleveland hospital, one of the most recognized surgeons in the world.
“The innumerable disease names are not important, but the fact is that they all derive from the underlying cause: too much acidity in the body. “- Dr. Theodore A. Baroody, in the book “Alkalize or die”.
“Increased acidity of the body is the cause of all degenerative diseases. If it comes to balance disorders and organism begins to store acidity and toxins more than they can be excreted, then there are diseases “- Dr. Robert O. Young . . .
. . . ” Too much acidity in the body is like not enough oil in the engine. One, nice Sunday afternoon, it just stops. And there you are then – stuck. The body does the same thing. With great concern, I look at people of all ages and lifestyle habits that suffer from this surplus. It’s your responsibility to make smart lifestyle choices.”
Please don’t become hypochondriac and think all the time about correct pH ratio.
As emphasized, it is entirely impossible for cancer to appear in a person who has a healthy diet, drinks plenty of pure water and exercise. In order to have a proper diet, ensure 60% of alkaline nutrition and avoid products that are mostly acidic, such as carbonated drinks, sweets, and fast food.
Today, even fast food chains have updated their menu with healthier options.
For the people that are already ill, it is ideal to have 80% of the alkaline diet. If you have cancer, it is advisable to alkalize your body as much as possible.
You can achieve this with the help of proper diet, exercise, stress avoidance, and additional chlorophyll intake.
Make your habit to breathe abdominally every day.
Do you ever go to work while having a problem with a gassy stomach? Does it ring a bell or you just can’t hear because your stomach makes all the noise?! IBS stomach is a considerable problem of many people who are sitting while working because it affects how gas moves through intestines.
Or you maybe have a yeast infection and painful, itchy cuts?
You’ve heard that probiotics are essential for health and that there are many types of them?!
Many people are amazed at how fast these work and how light and energetic they feel after taking them.
How can you use them naturally and where do they coming from?
How much do we know about them?
What are the benefits?
Bacteria are usually not something we want in our body because we know they cause various inflammations. But there are good ones and bad ones – both important for our health.
The fact is that we do not live in a sterile environment and we are exposing to bacteria non-stop. Unlike those bad ones with whom we do not live in love, some are just part of us. Without them, we cannot exist!
You already know, to have good health, your body needs to be in balance. So there should be a balance when the bacteria are in question too.
If those bad bacteria overwhelm good ones, our health starts to deteriorate.
Probiotic is the common name for live bacteria and yeasts that are good for our health.
There are over 2000 types of bacteria, and we are accustomed to their symbiosis and balance. That’s the time when you feel great.
Why is this important?
With the lack of probiotics, (unbalance) you may experience digestive disorders, candida, skin problems, low immunity and a tendency to frequent colds and flu. Oooo, man… every time I remember mucus and sore throat I get goosebumps. Red nose and tissues… said ones, of course! 😉
Probiotics are the most important for the proper functioning of the digestive system. They primarily help food passing through your intestines.
Numerous studies show that probiotics play a vital role in these conditions:
Urinary Health – Experience says that probiotics can prevent harmful bacteria from spreading here
Female health – and here is a vital balance, both hormones, and living cultures. Vaginal infections are the cause of the imbalance in where candida are dominant. Introducing probiotics can be a useful measure of treatment and prevention.
Immunity – By maintaining good digestive health, you support and strengthen the immune system. Probiotics stimulate the secretion of immunoglobulin A and the formation of T cells.
Obesity – A 2006 survey showed that people who are obese have a different microflora in the intestines from people with a healthy weight. The more you have them the easier will be to maintain healthy weight.
Although taking probiotics is a great way to stimulate your immunity, you shouldn’t neglect the power of some other natural treatments either.
Listen. Only in our small intestine, there are over one million nerve cells. Did you at least felt once the butterflies in your stomach? Maybe a loss of appetite because of something that happened to you on an
emotional basis?
I bet you did.
For all this, the enteric nervous system is in charge. It contains some chemicals, hormones, and neurotransmitters found in the brain. Bacteria and microflora are essential for the smooth functioning of this system. And indirectly, they affect many segments of health.
Some scientists believe that 80% of our immune system is in the intestines. But today, many toxins disturb our digestive system. There is also a lack of vitamins and minerals, excess cholesterol and triglycerides, and a number of diseases.
So try to take care of what you eat. A healthy and regular diet is not just a matter of aesthetics and excess pounds, but also the issue of health in general.
The ratio of 85% is good compared to 15% of harmful bacteria. If this relationship is disturbed, major or minor discomforts occur. The disbalance of the intestinal microflora come from the lack of probiotics, and what destroys them are the following factors, ( if used in excessive amounts).
As you can see, there is always a chance that you will need probiotics! They are responsible for producing vitamin B12, and vitamin K2.
Lactobacillus rhamnosus is a bacteria capable of surviving in inaccessible places. It is an excellent ally when you are overpowered by harmful bacteria, especially regarding women’s health.
Lactobacillus salivarius is a bacteria capable of surviving in severe conditions and is located in the mouth and throat, sinuses, and intestines. This probiotic has a beneficial effect on oral health.
Lactobacillus paracasei is a bacteria that lives in the small intestine and is responsible for improving liver function.
A large number of these probiotics are living in our colon. Thanks to their actions, we absorb more vitamins and minerals from food such as iron, magnesium, calcium, copper, and zinc. They also create an environment in which pathogenic bacteria cannot survive. Production of vitamin B complex and vitamin K is also their responsibility.
Bifidobacterium bifidum is the first bacteria that helps in decomposing complex carbohydrates. It is good for a digestion, mineral suppression and for alleviating the symptoms of travel diarrhea.
Bifidobacterium longum is a probiotic that is most prevalent in the gastrointestinal tract. It dissolves carbohydrates and neutralizes toxins. Useful for detoxification and strengthening of immunity.
Bifidobacterium infantis is a type of probiotic that reduces bowl tension and problems with constipation.
As you can see, natural probiotics are already part of us, and if you follow some steps and make an effort to keep their number up, you will gain more immunity to cope with all kinds of diseases.
If your goal is to increase probiotics naturally, then you should include more natural food in your diet. But, what do probiotics eat? Fermenting fibers called prebiotics. So, to survive attacks from the harmful bacterias, you should eat foods rich in fibers.
Proposal?
Fresh fruits, dark chocolate, vegetables, milk products such as yogurt, kefir, soured milk, buttermilk, cheeses… etc.
The same applies to almonds, apple juice, Kimchi, Miso (Japanese seasoning), Kombucha, Nato (a fermented soybean product), pickles, sauerkraut… Also, they contain certain acids that create an environment suitable for the growth and development of new ones.
They feed with oligosaccharides from natural sources: banana, barley, soy, bean, onions, honey, and natural milk products.
KEFIR
Kefir is a dairy product like yogurt obtained by fermentation of milk. For this fermentation process, you need a legitimate kefir mushroom (bean kefir).
Put it into 2 dl of milk and let it stay for 24 hours. By then, it comes the new propagation with the help of milk lactose. Filtrate it and drink the fresh kefir. Scientists believe that contain up to 50 types of probiotics.
YOGURT
You probably consume this kind of probiotics often and not knowing how useful for the health they are. It contains Lactobacillus bulgaricus, L. acidophilus, and Bifidobacterium bifidum. Yogurt from the goat’s milk has a high value in probiotics.
Look for probiotic yogurt with live probiotic cultures. They have more useful bacteria than ordinary yogurt. Today, there is a large selection of dairy products in many countries, but they are not all the best quality. Keep your options and eyes open.
YEAST
A beverage which is often mixed with beer, but the only similarity is the color and packaging. Yeast is a beverage obtained by fermenting barley and rye. By boiling, a small percentage of alcohol is being produced – up to 2%. Easy with this one before driving!
SOUR CABBAGE
Sour cabbage is the richest in lactobacilli. However, what makes it unique is the organic acid that creates ideal conditions for probiotic growth, high vitamin C content, and a multitude of digestive enzymes.
KOMBUCHA
Kombucha or tea mushroom comes by fermenting tea. For fermentation, a particular fungus is used, which is actually a colony of bacteria and yeasts. This natural probiotic originally comes from the Far East.
APPLE VINEGAR
Apple’s vinegar is not a probiotic, but it’s very beneficial for probiotics to survive. It is essential that you have raw, unprocessed and unfiltered apple vinegar – which contains pectin. It promotes healthy digestion and propagation of probiotics.
WHEY
This inexpensive and light beverage is excellent for health. It is an excellent probiotic and its ingredients can contribute to the development and reproduction of good bacteria in your body.
In addition to the daily consumption of food which contains probiotics, you can use pills or powder from pharmacies.
Although these pills are not harmful to your liver, you need to keep in mind what kind do you need. Almost any will fix the condition of your gastrointestinal tract. However, keep in mind that the best way is a natural way.
Probiotics and antibiotics are going in a pair. Why? Medicines have their role in destroying harmful bacteria, but as collateral damage, they kill a good number of probiotics too.
If you decide on probiotics in milk products, avoid kefir and yogurt because dairy products and antibiotics are not the best combinations. They bind to calcium and absorption of the drug is difficult.
If you are wondering which one to drink with the antibiotic, the recommendation is Saccharomyces boulardii. It prevents the spread of candida and Lactobacillus rhamnosus which relieves stomach problems. You can take any other, but it will be less effective.
Make a gap of 2 hours between taking probiotics and antibiotics so that the liver does not suffer. It is imperative that you continue to drink probiotics 7 days after antibiotics.
Probiotics aren’t generally harmful. If the balance in your gut is right, they are not necessary and won’t do you any miracles. For the treatment of influenza, and immunity it may be more beneficial for you to drink syrup.
However, keep in mind what problem you want to solve.
Is it digestion? Or is it urinary health? Vaginal maybe?
You see, there is a vast range of different probiotic supplements, and you need to choose the kind that would be beneficial to your health and the specific problem that you have. However, it is best to do a medical examination before.
If you take it via, capsules or powder, please use the instructions.
According to the recent studies, probiotics are also useful in helping the body to fight depression, anxiety, and fear.
Research conducted by scientists at the University of Toronto shows improvement in about 40 patients that had chronic fatigue.
They took probiotics for two months and, discovered that the symptoms of anxiety and depression had diminished.
The other group receiving placebo has not shown any change in the initial state.
Recent research reveals the connection between intestinal microorganisms and chronic digestive diseases. Although the relationship isn’t clear yet, one study showed that patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) had an improvement in symptoms (abdominal pain, flatulence, and constipation) after taking probiotics.
Results at patients with inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis is controversial. The evidence is anecdotal in most cases (based on personal reports, not facts and research).
If you suffer from any of the above diseases, it is best to talk to your doctor before trying to use probiotics to relieve symptoms. He will give you advice based on your specific situation and stage of the disease.
Such a beautiful thing girls have down there but damn! A vagina is complicated!
If you suffer from BV (Bacterial vaginosis) and sometimes you can smell yourself, then probiotics are here to help. The odor will completely go and no more itching and irritation!
It heals your suffering ladies.
Although some could be better than others. Like the digestive tract, the vagina has its own complex set of fungi and bacteria that work to maintain a balanced environment.
Best time to take them is before bedtime.
Probiotics can help reduce the frequency or severity of the vaginal fungal infection, which is often caused by the excessive presence of Candida albicans. One such strain of bacteria is Lactobacillus acidophilus, which you can find in kefir.
Another potential benefit provided by kefir is the improvement of the skin condition. Probiotics are praised for their ability to act as a treatment for eczema, acne, rosacea, and signs of aging. You can use them orally or apply to the skin.
Whether is a problem induced with medications, you being diabetic or just bad bacteria overgrowth.
And finally let’s say this:
The probiotic word springs from the prefix “pro”, which signifies the “biotic” enhancement and continuation of the term “life”. By all means, even by name, it’s better to consume, and not to pass on them!
Then you can expect:
Try to pay more attention to food. For starters, it’s good enough, to begin with, probiotics in your diet. By using them regularly, you will be pleasantly surprised!
Let’s be honest, because of our ‘modern lifestyle,’ we eat in the car, standing, when we’re under stress, in a hurry, and depend on the cold remnants straight from the fridge. We buy grown products, avoid GMOs, make antioxidants, evaluate the glycemic index, and consider all factors related to food quality.
Why is that?
We are doing all this research, but I must say that much is in vain if we don’t pay enough attention to the process of eating. It’s not just what we eat; we need to pay attention to how we eat. Nowadays, we don’t even have the time to sit at the table and eat peacefully with our family. We don’t enjoy the meal anymore, but we do not have time to swallow the food as we should.
It sounds awkward, but have you ever wondered how fast /slow you eat?
Have you ever measured the time you eat? How much do you need to finish your meal? 10, 15, or 5 minutes? If you fall into these frames, you may not be chewing food enough.
Most people don’t pay enough attention, forgetting that it substantially affects our health. The way we chew affects digestion, the teeth, and even the face shape, while the previous research in this area shows that chewing also affects our brain.
The problem with the modern diet today is that the meals, thanks to processed food, are more mechanical and do not require prolonged chewing. On the other hand, raw vegetables, fruits, and meat require more chewing. If we do not eat this kind of food enough, bigger pieces pass through the digestive system and aren’t entirely absorbed.
In this fast-chewing paste, even ecological food becomes unhealthy.
Many of us often do not think about the choices we make in eating, especially about the size of the portion. Yet, that’s precisely what leads to overeating and, ultimately, more pounds. So try to think about what and how much you are eating. Knowing how to stop when your stomach recognizes satisfaction will also bring in fewer calories.
The digestive system cannot quickly expel all you enter, so it is necessary to chew slowly.
Most people think digestion begins in the stomach, but it is not true. It actually starts in the mouth. Saliva in the mouth contains the necessary digestive enzymes. One of these enzymes is alpha-amylase. This enzyme is essential for breaking down starch into smaller molecules that the body cells use for energy.
However, when you don’t chew the food well, Alpha-amylase can’t break the starch into smaller particles, leaving the body cells without power.
Many people know how to manage their time, but the most productive people can control their attention and energy. For example, when you consciously feed, you are always focusing on what you eat, and when you do, you exercise your “concentration muscle,” which will eventually help you focus more on your daily tasks.
Another vital enzyme in the saliva is Linguistic lipase. It comes from the glands under the tongue and helps your body to dissolve the fat. When you eat slower, it is easier to lose fat.
You will start to feel greater pleasure with less food. When you eat fast, it happens, and vice versa.
The food we adore, we want to eat fast as it is so delicious that it would be best to swallow it whole. But in reality, when we eat food slower, we won’t take joy less – on the contrary, we will enjoy it much more. If for example, you chew a bite of pie or bacon 20 times instead of 10. You will enjoy double!
Mathematics is simple: You will enjoy it twice as much when you eat twice as long.
Of all our foods, only mineral salts, water, vitamins, and glycosides can pass through the intestinal mucous membrane without previous digestion.
The cheese pie you ate for breakfast will be fully digested and extracted from your body the following day.
When it comes to the stomach, it is already mashed and with the help of stomach acid, breaks about three to four calories per minute.
Then the food travels through the bowel, where it is further broken down, and the nutrients reach the bloodstream through the wall of the intestine. Finally, two hours later, what’s left of your pie comes into the colon, where the water and salt are extracted.
If you are sucking up food instead of chewing it, this process may take a lot longer. Not only will a multitude of nutrients that come through your body remain unused, but your stomach will need more water and energy to burn that pie.
– Great feeling of discomfort
– Gastroesophageal reflux disease
– Returning of food /liquid; acid taste in the throat
– Insufficient nutrients for your body
– Risk of severe bacterial overgrowth (bad ones):
– Hard to maintain a healthy weight
– Bad muscle jow structure
– Gasses and bloating
– You could choke yourself
– You are slowly killing the sense of taste
There is room for improvement, right?
Ayurveda health system gives us the Upayoga samsthu – eating skill with detailed quotations to eat. The digestion process starts when you see, sniff, or think about food. If you need clarification on this, remember the feeling when looking at the food you like. Then, suddenly, saliva appears in the mouth.
The first step of digestion is moisturizing food with saliva, but there are more to consider:
1. Always eat when sitting down. Do your best to avoid eating in the car, walking, or standing. The body wants to avoid multitasking while you eat. Sitting ensures that all your energy is devoted to digestion.
2. Focus on food. It will taste better and be more enjoyable when you give it full attention. Avoid distractions such as TV, reading, or working. Determine how many times you will chew the bite. It sounds weird, but try it! Find a person at the table that eats the slowest (usually small children) and follow their pace. If you are not a slow eater, this habit needs time and work to overcome.
3. Take the time for food! Schedule your calendar for 20 to 30 minutes for a meal. Before swallowing, you should chew softer foods 5-10 times and harder foods up to 20-30 times. Food deserves your attention.
4. Eat when you are hungry. Hunger (a real sense of longing, not a mockery) is a natural urge you should not suppress. Listen to the starvation of your body. Eat roughly at the same time every day.
The body moves along with the routine.
5. Use smaller plates. There is no standard amount of food we need to enter the body because we are all individually separated and have different needs. When you eat slower, you automatically eat smaller portions. Great news if you want to lose that pound. Find the right amount and chew, chew, chew… Big bites of inadequately chewed food will be harder to digest if your portion is small.
6. Eat in a calm and temperate atmosphere. A quiet environment encourages a peaceful mind. It has a direct impact on the physical body and the process of digestion.
7. Never eat when you feel shaken up. The whole food will lose value in the digestive tract if you eat in a negative state of mind. If you are upset or angry, postpone a meal until you feel better.
8. Wait until the next meal. Ayurveda teaches us that overeating is a major cause of the disease. It would help if you felt light, enthusiastic, hungry, and thirsty. Foods that are not adequately chewed may lead to gastrointestinal disturbances and other potential digestive tract problems.
9. Give your body time to recognize that you are full. The brain takes about 20 minutes from the beginning of the meal to send the signals that you are stuffed. Most of today’s meals last only a short time. If you do not believe it, watch the clock. Consider how many extra (unnecessary) calories you enter into yourself because you have yet to give the body time to register the food that is no longer needed.
If you eat three meals daily, each with up to a hundred extra calories because you devour food, that number is no longer negligible.
10. Sit for a few minutes after each meal. Do not just eat and run. Instead, stay calm for a while for your digestive system to start working. These guidelines are simple but make all the difference. When we eat fast, at the end of the day, we eat more than we need, which leads to poor digestion and excess weight.
When we eat slowly, digestion is better, easier to maintain or lose weight, and we feel greater pleasure with less food.
To speak correctly, it is essential that the muscles of the tongue, lips, and face can support movements that are necessary for the pronunciation of the voices, and oral practice is required. It is a prerequisite for proper articulation (pronunciation) of the voice. It represents the ability to voluntarily initiate parts of the speech “device” (lips, cheeks, jaws, tongue, soft and hard palate).
In this way, the vocal organs are in a good position for correctly pronouncing the voices. Maturation of oral practice follows the physiological development of the child.
Therefore, it is important not to mix food for your kid but to chop it with a fork or knife. The chewing process is crucial for bone development and teeth health. In addition, the child’s vulnerability is least expressed by two years of age. For this reason, the indicated period is suitable for discovering new flavors and accepting varied foods with less resistance.
The baby has better control of the lips for 4 to 6 months and the possibility of greater tongue mobility. This period is the optimal time to start the introduction of solid food. Early baby feeding is of great importance not only because of its nutritional value but because chewing such foods is crucial to the later development of the complete speech device.
It stimulates the muscles of all speech organs. Therefore, when introducing solid food, it is essential to know that chewing requires different oral motor skills that are of great importance to speech development. For example, chewing helps develop language use, which is an excellent exercise for pronouncing the voices T, D, K, and G.
In addition to regular meals, the development of oral practice in older children can be stimulated with other foods such as bread crisps, dried fruits, muffins, and cheese…
The Maze is a ritual of enjoyment in tiny snacks of various foods that were present in all the kitchens of the former Persian and Ottoman empires.
Nowadays, if you find yourself in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Turkey, or any of the countries of the Middle East, feel relaxed if your hosts invite you to a feast called a maze.
This is the almost forgotten ritual that doesn’t only imply the enjoyment of tiny snacks of various foods but also the gathering around the table with people who are dear and entertaining.
Depending on your country, you will find a lot of salty and sweet dishes and unavoidable nuts, vegetables, and fruits. So do not be surprised if you get a small plate.
The mosaic philosophy tells you to eat all but little and slowly. Food is there any way as the initiator of the conversation.
Water should be chewed, and food should be drunk.
When I see people eating from paper plates and paper bags with plastic forks and drinking from plastic glasses, that level of people’s disinfection only reminds me of chickens in network cages that just need to eat and lay eggs.
Your kitchen is your world of taste. Small but endlessly imaginative and ingenious dishes are combined to bring us some unmatched flavors and reveal some new taste sensations.
While cuisines from various parts of the world have become part of our menu, and you can see the variety and luxury on each plate, we are entirely different in how we see our food and are not at all open to diversity. We do not appreciate the different types of tastes and beauty, but only those in a specific package.
There are so many international restaurants, spices, and cooking methods. And why?
So you can suck it in a few minutes and say you ate?!
No, you did not eat.
You devour the food! You suck it like a vacuum cleaner.
Do you think nature and God gave us so many senses of taste to suck up food and wash it with some drink to feel the sense of satiety?
Food is culture. When you sit for dinner in Italy (outstanding cuisine), you have the impression that it’s not about food but about spending time with friends, family, and guests.
Slow living means being able to experience, live, and enjoy life without hesitation and someone’s imposed pace. Allow the body to adapt and the mind to ask what the environment offers. Don’t be restricted by other attitudes, learned phrases, imposed opinions, prejudices…
Enjoy the flavors of local dishes and pick fruits. Doing this, you’ll meet yourself and draw your maximum.
Taste is the passage to understanding a pleasure. The lesson here implies that when we are kids, we develop and distinguish a wide range of flavors worldwide.
A taste arouses and stimulates all senses related to the mind and feelings, focusing on giving ourselves a moment and experiencing it fully. So if you want to enjoy your favorite food, let it be entirely and without the guilt of conscience.
Observe the strength and distinguish the tastes of each comestible.
If you overestimate food at some point, your child will most likely follow your example.
The next time when you are at the table, remember these tips and give yourself time to enjoy and chew properly and think about the following:
The gluttonous (greedy) will swallow the cake in one or two bites.
The tasters will selfishly bite in small pieces as if it’s the last cake in the world.
The gourmets will dip it in boiling coffee to dissolve the chocolate frost and taste the finish inside their cheeks.
Which one are you?

Although the Himalaya’s peaks for years have fascinated mountaineers in the desire to conquer this mountain, the spirit of these lands is not to conquer but to live with. Life above 3000 m is hard! Hard to walk, work, eat and breath. Not only that the thin air cause gasping and fatigue, but it also swells the brain and fills the lungs with fluid. Lower air pressure at altitude means fewer oxygen molecules for every lungful of air. People who live and travel at high attitude respond to the lack of oxygen by making more hemoglobin (the oxygen-carrying component of the human blood).
Researchers are still trying to understand how Tibetans get enough oxygen to their tissue. High attitude natives don’t have oxygen problems, and not only just because they are used to it. Their’s secret? You guess it! Barley! In every form. Tibetan barley farmers may have experimented with a variety of crop types to see which worked the best in such a harsh environment.
Barley reflects the Tibetan landscape of mountains and plateaus. It is unclear how it moved to some extreme environment like Tibetan Plateau, but now we know why.
Grain barley is invaluable for maintaining optimum human health because of its richness in plant fibers, which have a positive effect on the digestive tract.
Significant benefits of barley were also known by American Indians, who ate this young plant. Their livestock lived longer and gave more because of the barley grass diet.
